Philanthropy/Community Service
Puppy Sit
Hosted every semester, our chapter camps out on campus overnight for two days, raising money and awareness for a local animal shelter (The Triad SPCA).
All proceeds go towards providing the sheltered animals with food, supplies, and the chance for a new beginning!
Check out our social media for more information on Puppy Sit Fall 2018.

Polar Plunge
Hosted every year at Wet N' Wild Emerald Pointe, Polar Plunge is a community event that raises money and awareness for the North Carolina Special Olympics. Each year there is a different theme to dress up as, ranging from DC Universe to Loony Tunes. For the past two years Phi Theta Zeta took home awards for having the largest group to participate, Best Spirit, and Best Costumes.

Feeding America
Lambda Chi Alpha is a proud partner with Feeding America. Feeding America is the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization with over 60,000 food pantries across the United States. We have projects each semester geared toward collecting food goods or donations to end hunger.

Pumpkin Smash
/ Watermelon Bust
Each year we have Pumpkin Smash in the Fall semester and Watermelon Bust in the Spring. These are weeklong philanthropies that benefit Feeding America. The first four days of the week consists of co-organizations, typically Sororities, “tabling," collecting money, & canned goods. The last day of the week consists of a full day of pumpkin/watermelon related activities and games.
